Mundo Ecológico is a traveling park which objective is to teach and encourage Peruvian students to take care and
preserve the environment.
The first show was developed in 1997 at Miraflores Central Park by means of an agreement with the Pontificia
Universidad Católica del Peru, and received more than 30 thousand visitors of 180 educational centers. This show
had not only a favorable reception but also the acknowledgement of the community.
During 1998, Mundo Ecológico was present at the populous district of San Juan de Miraflores, where more than 70,000
students visited the show.
In 1999, Gran Muestra Mundo Ecológico (Great Show of Ecological World) opened its doors in La Molina at the Parque
Hispanoamericano. This time, 25,000 persons visited the show.
For fourth year in a row, Mundo Ecológico opened its doors to the community in 2000 at the extensive district of
Santiago de Surco, where thousands of visitors showed up, thus accumulating more than 150,000 visitors since the first
set in motion.
