1. What is a C.N.R.?

It is the consumption that has not been registered by the measurement equipment due to technical factors or to careless manipulation of the equipment. It leads to calculate energy recovery of the energy consumed by the user but which was not timely billed.

2. What is an inverse connection?

The current inversion or "counter-phase connection " is an inverse connection in one of the meter phases, which impedes an adequate registry of consumption.

3. What is a voltage bridge?

It is a device of the measurement equipment that allows delivering voltage to the meter bobbin for consumption registry.

4. What is a disk with rubbing?

It is a mechanical failure generally triggered by deterioration which causes disk rubbing, therefore the disk does not spin according to the user's consumption (spins slowly). This failure may also occur due to meter manipulation.

5. Why is it forbidden to provide electricity to my neighbor if I am going to assume his/her consumption?

Because energy supply or sale to another premise is explicitly forbidden by the Law of Electrical Concessions. It affects energy delivery to end users and causes damages for both the Company and other users in terms of technical aspects, safety and service quality.

6. What should I do if my neighbor steals energy from my supply?

You must make a formal complaint to the nearest police station and inform the Company in order to make sure that this connection does not put people's safety at risk.

7. How is energy recovery calculated?

In conformance with article 177° of Supreme Decree 009-93/EM, in case of direct connections when the client consumes energy without the Dealer's authorization- recovery is calculated by multiplying the charge connected times 240 monthly hours (for household supplies), and times 480 (for non-household supplies), considering a maximum 12-month period. This recovery will be estimated by applying the rate in force in the date of detection.

In conformity with article 92° of the Legislative Decree 25844, in case of inadequate measurement or error in the billing process, the amount to be recovered is calculated upon the basis of the reading differential of normalized service, by applying the rate in force in the date of detection and considering a maximum 12-month period. In this case, recovery is paid in 10 monthly installments, without interests and delays.

8. Why is my payment agreement revoked due to C.N.R.?

A payment agreement due to C.N.R. is revoked in the following cases:

  • When the client reoffends: the new recovery is added to the outstanding balance, establishing a new agreement.
  • To broaden payment facilities.

9. Why is C.N.R. charged if I have not manipulated the meter?

The CNR recovery applies not only because of meter manipulation, but also because of any aspect affecting the real registries of consumption.
Energy recovery is not a fine; it is billed as part of the energy consumed by the user, which was not duly measured. The company is empowered to take this action in conformity with Article 92° of Legislative Decree 25844.
