August 2019: “Llevamos más que luz, y más que abrigo” – Relief Campaign and Corporate Volunteering in favor of the families of Shantytown El Trébol de Pamplona Alta – San Juan de Miraflores District. In partnership with NGO Construyendo Sueños, we brought aid kits to the families of El Trébol de Pamplona Alta, who live in precarious conditions and who have to withstand a greater intensity of cold due to the high levels of humidity in the air in this area, which, according to SENAMHI, can reach 100%. El Trébol is located in one of the highest and most affected points of our capital in the winter season, where, in addition to the cold, the drizzle, the mist and the muddy floor are very characteristic.
Thanks to the solidarity of all the workers of Luz del Sur, we exceeded the expected figure for collection of clothing for cold and rain, delivering more than 1600 donations for the benefit of 590 residents of El Trébol. 46 Volunteers of Luz del Sur participated in the development of this activity, and many more “Voluntarios LdS” who collaborated with their donations, making possible the success of this activity.
