November 2019: “Teleton 2019: En esto estamos todos”. As in previous years, in 2019 Luz del Sur supported Fundacion Teleton San Juan de Dios through Teleton 2019; However, for the first time, Luz del Sur workers joined Teleton in our internal fund-raising campaign “Teleton 2019: En esto estamos todos”, organized by the LdS Volunteering Committee, in which all employees of Luz del Sur had the opportunity to be “Teleton Ambassadors” with their donation. As a result, an important raising money was achieved by the workers, which added to the donation by the company
With the money collected by Teleton, we help sustain the rehabilitation of 2089 children and youth who attend San Juan de Dios clinics in Lima, Chiclayo, Cusco, Arequipa, Iquitos and Piura, making dream of thousands of families come true.
Fundacion Teleton promotes inclusion and respect for the rights of persons with disabilities in Peru. A team of professionals works throughout the year to develop, in addition to the annual televised collection campaign, a series of programs that directly impact the lives of children and young people with disabilities, through awareness campaigns and workshops on social inclusion.
